Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School is an independent, Anglican, day school for girls, located in Ivanhoe, an eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Established in 1903, the School is proudly open-entry and currently caters for over 900 students from the Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Ivanhoe Girls’ offers each student an education that challenges and connects, and the opportunity to embrace her passions and develop her interests in an environment which encourages curiosity, authenticity and service to the wider community
Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School is located in Ivanhoe, a leafy North Eastern suburb approximately 9km from Melbourne’s Central Business District. Ivanhoe Girls’ Performing Arts Centre building will be our hub for the conference, and is located on the corner of Noel Street and Upper Heidelberg Road. Upper Heidelberg Road is an active shopping and dining strip, with plenty of options for your morning coffee!
We encourage participants, where possible, to travel by public transport to the conference. IGGS is very accessible by train, located directly opposite Ivanhoe Station (Hurstbridge Line). Several bus routes, in particular the 510, 548 and 549 also pass through the area. For more information, Melbourne’s public transport route planning and ticket information is best accessed through www.ptv.vic.gov.au There is limited on-street car parking in the surrounding area and across the road at Ivanhoe’s public library.
