Kodály Vic has a long history of providing excellent professional learning opportunities to music educators from around the country. We are a vibrant and energetic group of committed teachers, tertiary educators, choral directors, musicians, and students dedicated to excellence in music education for all Australian children.
Kodály Vic is proud to be hosting the 2024 Kodály Australia Conference in Naarm / Melbourne from 23 – 26 September 2024 at Ivanhoe Girls Grammar School in Ivanhoe.
The theme of the conference is ‘New Voices in Harmony’ which seeks to embrace diverse views, traditions, and identities, to show how modern Kodály-inspired teaching can reflect the society we live in. The 2024 conference specifically seeks to promote historically under-represented voices and critical thinking and incorporate them into a strong Kodály-based pedagogical framework.
With international and national presenters featured, we expect around 250 educators to attend from Australia and the Asia Pacific, including teachers from all levels of education: early childhood to tertiary, community choirs, conductors, advanced students, pedagogues, composers, and innovators.
