Art music in the early years classroom
In this workshop Sarah will demonstrate the various ways classical and classical-folk pieces can be incorporated in early years music lessons.
We will unpack the importance of thoughtfulness when choosing repertoire, model real-life activities that can be immediately used in your lessons and how to design age-appropriate art music activities for lessons.
The workshop could also include – reasons to choose or avoid certain recordings, and illustrate practices for transitions to classical music focus’ in lessons.
