A recorder program modelled on the Kodály philosophy and belt reward system is alive and well at Hillcrest Christian College. Developed by Tammy Kilpatrick, this program fosters an aural-vocal approach, engaging activities, opportunities for part-work and the move to fixed letter names. This workshop will examine effective lesson sequencing, including the preparation of musical concepts through singing, movement, and games. It will also highlight valuable online resources and demonstrate how the Seesaw platform can be used to support differentiation, practice, assessment, and feedback.
